Certificate status
Description
Valid
The certificate validity term has not expired yet. The certificate is available for usage.
Revoked
The certificate is revoked. Revocation can be either temporary or final.
In case of temporary revocation (as a result of card deactivation), the certificate validity term is suspended for the term of card deactivation. After the card is re-activated, the certificate becomes valid again (if it does not expire while the card was inactive).
In case of final revocation (as a result of smart card revocation or withdrawal) the certificate cannot be used in the system anymore.
Expiring
The certificate expires shortly. If you plan to use the certificate further on, it is necessary to update it.
Expired
The certificate has expired. It cannot be used. The certificate validity term can be prolonged for period equal to initial validity term set up in the certificate template (see Smart card update).
