Requirements

• The Create TPM Virtual Smart Card (VSC) option is enabled in the Common features section of the Indeed CM Setup Wizard.

• The card type has been added to the system configuration Tpm.xml.

  To be able to unlock TPM cards, the administrator's PIN must change to a random or any not random TripleDES when added.

  
  

• The user's workstation is equipped with the Trusted Platform Module 2.0.
• The IndeedCM.TPM.Middleware component is installed on the workstation.

When issuing the smart card in Self-Service, the user will be suggested to Create TPM virtual card or select a connected hardware smart card.

After clicking the Issue button, Indeed Certificate Manager will create the TPM virtual card and assign it to the user. The TPM virtual card can be used just like hardware smart cards on the user's workstation. For example, for authentication in a domain.
