MobaXterm Configuring

In Mobaxterm versions below 23.0, you need to disable Fix connection issues. To do so, proceed as follows:

  1. Go to Settings → Configuration → SSH.
  2. Uncheck the Fix connection issues option.
  3. Save.

Connecting via Access Gateway

  1. Open MobaXterm.
  2. Create a connection via Sessions.
  3. Select SSH.
  4. In Remote host, enter the DNS or IP address of the SSH Proxy or the Balancer.
  5. Check the Specify username option.
  6. Enter the username.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Enter password and TOTP.
  9. Select the resource you want to connect to.

Connecting to a Specific Resource

  1. Open MobaXterm.
  2. Create a connection via Sessions.
  3. Select SSH.
  4. In Remote host, enter the DNS or IP address of the SSH Proxy or the Balancer.
  5. Check the Specify username option.

  6. Enter the username. You can specify it in the format: [user-name]#[resource]#[account-name]#[reason]@[proxy-address].
    For example:

    VDD\alex.shushkin#cent9en.vdd.com#CENT9EN\local##


  7. Click OK.
  8. Enter password and TOTP.
