This guide describes the procedure for migrating data (cards and certificates) from SafeNet Authentication Manager (SAM) to Indeed Certificate Manager.

Prerequisites

Data migration is possible under the following conditions:

On the SAM side:

SAM side:

  • SafeNet Authentication Manager version 8.0, 8.2 Rev E, and 9.0 Rev DSP2/SP3

  • SAM data repository in Active Directory

  • Microsoft Certificate Authority edition: Enterprise

  • All device card types (USB tokens, smart cards) and their ATR (Answer To Reset) values are known, which are used in SAM are known. The same card types and ATR values will be used in Indeed CM.

On the Indeed Certificate Manager side:

  • Indeed CM Server version 4.1.3 or higher

  • Data storage in Active Directory or Microsoft SQL
